Indoor wayfinding system for the chain of shops, guidebook for scaling up

Detsky Mir is the largest retail chain of children's goods in Russia and the CIS. The chain has 1125 shops in different cities and countries.
We developed a wayfinding system for the flagship shop in Teply Stan Mega, after which we developed wayfinding guidelines for the entire chain.
For each group of carriers we developed a range with different sizes and mounting methods depending on the space of the shop.
The main challenge was to develop media using materials and technologies that could be replicated in any region of the country and within budget. We used transparent acrylic, matte film and print.
We developed a hierarchy of space zone signatures. The diagram marks the main services, zones and landmarks. Suspended carriers mark the departments. Age zoning is provided on the hangers, which are worn on top of the rails for better visibility from afar.
As an extra nice touch - we added descriptions of interactive spaces for kids. We came up with a fictional name for each zone and wrote a fantasy immersive story for the child.
